Alka is a 100,000sf latex glove manufacturing facility strategically located on the outskirts of a developed area, offering an optimized balance of critical factors for operational efficiency and future growth. This site ensures convenient access to a reliable local workforce, providing opportunities for skilled and unskilled labor recruitment while avoiding the high costs associated with urban centers.

The construction type and structure material were selected for balance between fire safety, cost, and equipment layout. An exterior wall assembly with tilt-up concrete panels and spray foam insulation was chosen for its reliable track record of thermal performance, water management capabilities, and the availability of local expertise.

The number of manufacturing lanes was also optimized based on the site width and its capacity to handle stormwater, minimizing its impact on the area. The landscape design proposes low-maintenance indigenous plants and trees, including Cercidium Hybrid, Willow Acacia, Red Push Pistache, and Orange Jubilee Tecoma, among others. These selections create an ever-changing landscape throughout the year and complement the facility with a calm and serene desert aesthetic. The trees with large canopies near the main entry will provide shaded outdoor areas for staff and visitors.
