Lowell loft is a project that creates a “room within a room”, blurring the line between architecture and furniture. Designed as a box on wheels, it offers the scale and functionality of a room while maintaining the mobility and adaptability of furniture. The project explores definition of comfortable space, practical flexibility in the setting of artist’s loft. In just one minute, the loft can transition from sleeping mode to exhibit or reception mode.

The box serves as the most private space. It can be positioned to face the morning sun or turned toward a wall when guests are present, ensuring it remains out of sight. Wedge-shaped closets provide additional storage and are hidden from view when not in use.
